Approaching February
January has been boring to say the least. We need some action! This winter is kicking up in high gear with tons of snow and negatives temperatures. Thankfully some holidays are coming up to keep us entertained. All the Christmas stuff came down. I put up a few things for Valentines....

Checking off the Bucket List
It’s officially booked. And we leave in 66 days! I am really hoping our tax return pays off! Because that’s the majority of funds for this awesome trip we have planned! Take a look at the beautiful places we are staying!
Gulf Shores
& NOLA
Both places are beautiful! We are also staying in Mississippi for one night, but we plan on staying with family. Visiting with them is much more important than sightseeing. Not to mention it’s in a very rural area of northern Mississippi where there’s nothing to do anyway. But at least it’s another state my children get to see and another experience they get to have. Rural Mississippi is definitely different. Lots of poverty and of course that southern culture. We are hoping to enjoy amazing southern food with my great Aunt Peg and her family. Then off the the gulf shores for the beach and sunshine. We plan on doing more cultural, historical touring of New Orleans. We also may have a swamp tour wedged in there somewhere too 😉 so much fun planning!
Wishing for warmth
When did I become such a summer person? I mean, I usually love a good month or so of hot weather and then I’m done! Bring on the coats and boots! But with kids, I have totally changed! I want the warm days with the kids busy at the pool. Those are good times. Maybe things will get better when they get older, but right now trying to keep them entertained all day is just so much work! Luckily, I have good kids 👌🏻. They are sweet and usually can entertain themselves. Still, I see them get bored too. Just a couple more months and it will be green again 🌳
