Our first born went to her first day of school today. This is just a small local preschool held at a Baptist church. We are doing it mainly for socialization to help her speech skills, but it still makes me sad anyway! She is in the 2's class in a program called Hand in Hand Preschool. It's held Mondays and Thursdays at 9:00-11:30. Today was a "meet the teacher" day. Isla had so much fun & I'm sure nothin but good things can come from this! We look forward to seeing how this program will help her grow verbally!

That crisp autumn air
It's here! It's here! It's officially fall! Ahhh smell it?! Smell the change? The smell of leaves falling. Breathe it in. It is a beautiful 54 degrees out & I love every moment of it. The fireplace has been on almost every night! Football blaring and pumpkin creamer flowing all over this place!
Here are some fall events: on these beautiful gray fall days I bundle up my girls and get them out into this crisp autumn air! We made many trips to Geneva to walk around & try new treats. We started with my all time favorite : The Festival of the Vine. An entire weekend committed to wine tasting and good food sampling!
The next week we walked around town and got a nice big cupcake from The Latest Crave.
Then it was a cool night at the Batavia Depot Museum to see a civil war encampment. Oh & the choo choo train was an absolute must see!
Okay.. Then there was that after church trip to Kilwins chocolate... I promise we really don't eat this much junk food!
After nap time on Sunday we did a little homemade photo shoot. I got my new Nikon D3200 so I had to try it out.

She's a little bit country...
We are enjoying the last few hot days of summer. The weekly forecast shows that there will be a dip in the temperature. That's something I'm always looking forward to, but my little summertime baby will miss these hot days. She loves my parents house- the barn, the horses, the open fields... She won't be able to run through the 4 foot high snow drifts. So I let her be free to run and roam. We will miss this time of year for these small simple pleasures. Estelle even joined in on the photo shoot!
