Thinking Spring <3

We are over you Winter! We have so many plans to start attacking & you are hindering us! Big things are going to be happening in this house! Here is our honeydo list for the spring and summer of 2014. I'm curious to see if we accomplish them all!
1. Completely gut out the main bathroom and renovate.
2. Update powder room: spruce up vanity, new sink, and faucet.
3. Paint exterior of the house.
4. Replace gutters.
5. Stain deck with a second coat.
6. Finish landscaping.
And if possible.....
7. Begin framing out the basement.

Yikes that is a big and expensive list! We have planned out for most of it so lets hope it happens! Stay tuned!!

Soy to the rescue!

This beautiful baby has been miserable since she turned two weeks old. We have tried everything! From my breast milk, to gentle formula, to gas drops, to baby probiotics! Nothing was helping this poor baby's colic!

Literally the day she turned two weeks old she cried nonstop. The pediatrician finally decided to eliminate some things. We both agreed starting soy would be a good idea since none of the other formulas made her feel better. And just like that she was a happy baby! Who would've thought she is lactose intolerant!? If you ever have a baby that you cannot figure out why they're crying, and you have tried everything possible, consider doing soy formula. Now she is a playful baby, she smiles, and barely needs her pacifier! I wish I did this seven weeks ago!!

6 more weeks of winter

Yes Mr. Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow today. 6 more weeks of winter is his prediction and I actually believe him! It has been a very cold, very snowy winter. I'm not complaining since I have been fortunate enough to be cooped up with my girls on maternity leave. It has been a little boring sometimes.... Cabin fever is starting to set in. I think it's safe to say we are all looking forward to some greenery and warmth that spring has to offer!

At least today we also enjoyed the Super Bowl. It was our second year hosting & we all had lots of fun. There is something about this day that I love! I think it's the fire going in the fireplace with lots of football food, screams and yells from the guys, and the general relaxed feeling that we all have. Yet I'm always so busy that I don't even watch a minute of the game! But its a relaxed busy-ness if you know what I mean! The food was delicious and the girls loved the attention! I think this will be a yearly event at our house!
On to St. Valentines day and St. Patrick's day to end the winter. Soon it will be Mother's Day & summer will be before us. Time is flying and I can't wait to get busy with my girls outside!
>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Happy Saint Valentines day from the Pittard family! The girls are all decked out in their red and pink ruffles! It gives mommy something to do on this cold day!
Baby Estelle, or "Stellie" as we belovedly call her, is 2 months old!
My sweet Isla is consumed by her tutu's!
During nap time I did a little craft with some left over fabric and letters. I always have this stuff around... So why not?
I'm obsessed with cute bunting. I would make a bunting for any occasion!

Next year I can see these two munchkins sitting under here for a picture :)
He never fails :)

Tonight Justin and I are doing the unthinkably romantic...... We are getting our taxes done! Ha! BUT, we will enjoy a (hopefully) candle lite dinner afterwards. You know, the ones in the dark restaurants with a violinist playing by your side. The candles burning, the wine flowing.... Yeah.... We don't have reservations so we will most likely end up at Panera!
Grandma always spoils this little girl! Stellie is too little to enjoy the festivities, so she will have to wait till next year for a chocolate sucker.

Oh... And we were able to squeeze in a small, but delicious dinner at Bar Louie. It has been over a year since I have had a martini....and it was amazing!!
