Let the countdown begin!

We can't wait for a getaway! And although it's not to our beloved Disney World in Orlando, we will settle & see Mickey Mouse on the beaches of Hilton Head Island. If all goes to plan we will swing over to Savannah Georgia for a night or two as well! The organizing is still happening so more details to come about our new adventure!

So I have an update!! We have booked our trip for Hilton head. We will be staying at the Disney Hilton head Island resort for four nights. We are so excited for the girls to meet Mickey Mouse! The resort has its very own Beach house with beachfront access. A swimming pool and small restaurant are also on site. Justin will have the opportunity to golf while we lay out on the beach!

After the four nights at Hilton head we will travel to Savannah Georgia. I have booked our stay in the historic district for three nights. I originally wanted to stay one night at Tybee Island Georgia, but after reading the hotel reviews, I decided to stay in Savannah and just drive over to Tybee Island for the day. The hotel reviews were awful. Lots of bugs and dirty rundown rooms. Savannah is just so beautiful that it wouldn't be a problem to stay a third night. It's only a 25 minute drive to the island. It is literally just a bridge across the river and you are there!

{Happy March from our little lassies!}

Yes, the forecast is still gloomy, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. It appears that the end of the week might reach 40 degrees!! Yay, it's a heat wave! Although sweet Isla loves the snow, she will be glad to see spring. She just loves the outdoors! I'm so over this winter that I'm counting down the days I can go buy pool passes to Geneva's sunset pool!!
Happy Fat Tuesday! We aren't participants of lent, {or Mardi Gras for that matter} but it is fun to join along to help pass another cold winter day! Green chocolate chip cookies were in order for this morning's agenda. Dark chocolate chip to be precise. I snuck a little bit of cookie dough from the bowl. :) That's as good as it gets since I'm doing paleo which is grain free. It was a nice little treat!
St. Patty's is just a few days away and we are being festive in our little shamrock dress!
So pretty!
Sunday March 16th started with yummy St. Paddy's day donuts!!
Her first donut experience :)
I think she liked it!!
Over all it was an uneventful St Paddy's day. No green beer this year. It's fun to expose the girls to the smaller holidays. Now on to Easter and hopefully sunshine and green grass!!
