A resolution to not break resolutions!

Oh my...I am so thankful that 2013 is over! The year that we will never forget! The year that had more downs than ups for most of my family members. The year filled with deaths and births. Like my mom always said "you have to take the good WITH the bad", well I say "that $h%t is for the birds!"

I'm wishing and praying 2014 will be filled with nothing but pure blissful happiness! & I would like to start it off with such good news. As some of you may have known, I was an occasional smoker. I always quit during my pregnancies, but after Isla I started again, and for some reason after her birth, I picked it up much more heavily. Well after stopping with Estelle, I have yet to even desire to have a cigarette. I'm going to roll with it! Here's to being smoke free in 2014!

Who doesn't always list "lose weight" as one of their resolutions? Well I absolutely HAVE to lose weight! No doubt about it this baby weight has got to go. When I got married I weighed just under 140. Will I ever be that again? Maybe if I starve myself. I will be happy reaching 150. Which means I have 30 pounds to lose! I have another post documenting my weight lose journey, I'll post once I have hit my goal.

Finally, I would like to make a resolution to "not complaining as much". Yes I can be quite the whiner! Especially if it is something that inconveniences me. The eye opener to my behavior was when my mom and dad started to making bets on whether I was going to complain or not when they asked me for a favor. I love to help my family, but sometimes the things they do and ask for drive me crazy.

I'm hoping I can stick to these resolutions longer than the first 30 days! I'm going to try and be cognizant of what I eat & what I say! Wish me luck!

3 years

Justin and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary on NYE. With almost 7 years together, 3 years does not seem long. I feel like we have been together forever. Like it has always been this way & always will be. So much has changed since that summer of 2007.
From jobs, degrees, marriage, a house, and two daughters, we have been through so much. Our relationship has always been solid. Sure we have our glitches, but we are truly commited to each other. Till death do us part!
