So I had mentioned in an earlier post that I was working on an invention...
The progress has come along quite a bit. I technically can't say too much about it, even though no one is probably reading this LOL. But I figured I'd go ahead and write about it just so that one day I can look back and remember if anything ever came of it. I am working with the healthcare system that I work for currently and making a Prototype. It actually is complete and I need to go downtown Chicago on Wednesday to pick it up.
I'm not quite sure what God has in store for me with this one. I'm just kind of going through the motions, not really being super aggressive, but not being too passive either. So far many things have easily fallen in my lap thanks to some great connections. The next step is to actually test the Prototype to see if it does what it is supposed to do. It is a device that will help with safety in the healthcare field. I have gotten some great reviews from the biomedical engineer and my director. Both think it's an excellent idea and could potentialy save hospitals hundreds of thousands of dollars. It is also a simple product that does not have many bells and whistle's. It would be cheap to manufacture. And it is not difficult to maintain compliance. All of things matter in the nursing field.
As the months go on I will continue to update my blog. I had one nursing manager tell me this is probably going to be my ticket to retirement. But in all reality after doing lots of research about inventions, very few people ever make the million dollar mark. However, I am hopeful that God gave me this knowledge to use and that somehow I can profit off of this invention. It's a great idea and hopefully Northwestern will like it as well 😊
